About

I am a late 20’s early 30’s adult skater who returned to skating after a 7 year break during college and grad school. While I was never very good as a child, I loved skating until I let the worst of skating culture interfere. After a cross country move to the Pacific Northwest I decided to take up skating again and rediscovered my love for it. While I sometimes look like a deranged squirrel on the ice I am always working to get better.

This blog will be a mash up of my own skating progress (and lack thereof) and posts related to the biomechanics of skating (I am a physical therapist) and reflections on skating culture. Thanks for stopping by!
